Curriculum vitae
Born in 1984. Studied history of the Middle Ages, Early Modern Period and Modern Times, art history, and comparative literature at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and the University of Glasgow. Master's degree in 2009. Between 2010 and 2020 at the Institute for European History in Mainz, in the project: recensio.net – review platform for historical studies, then in the project: Digital Edition of European Religious Peace Agreements (religionsfrieden.de). Since 2010, lecturer at the University of Mainz.
PhD in 2016, supervised by Professor Dr. Ludolf Pelizaeus, Johannes Gutenberg University Main, on »Die Medialität der Französischen Religionskriege« (The Mediality of the French Wars of Religion). PhD studies funded by the German-French Doctoral College, Christine de Pizan-Programme and Gutenberg Academy at the University of Mainz, scholarship at the German Historical Institute in Paris, PhD-scholarship from the Stipendienstiftung Rheinland-Pfalz.
Since 2021 postdoctoral researcher at the University of Leipzig at the chair of Professor Dr. Julia Schmidt-Funke, with a second book-project on »Adel in der Reichsstadt. Die Fürsten von Thurn und Taxis in Frankfurt am Main in der ersten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts« (Nobility in the Imperial City. The Princes of Thurn and Taxis in Frankfurt am Main in the first half of the 18th century). From 2021 to 2023 habilitation scholarship from the Franz-Marie-Christinen Foundation. Since 2023 at the Institut für Personengeschichte.
Main areas of research: Urban history and history of the nobility in the Holy Roman Empire; media and communication history of the early modern period; religious wars and religious peace agreements in early modern Europe; Historische Bildkunde (historical iconography).
